    Nonsense. A patent is just a patent. There are at least a couple of other threads about this elsewhere in the forum... you might want to read them.

    That is absolutely NOT true. Even IF Google is giving a bit of extra weight to NEW sites with long domain registration periods (doubtful), there is absolutely nothing to indicate that they are penalizing ESTABLISHED sites with domains that expire in a year or two.

    Thisnk about it: Would that even make sense? You buy a new domain and register it for 10 years. You get to page 1 that first year. Everything goes along just fine until year 9. Then Google says, "Uh-oh - this expires next year. Dump it from the index or bury it in page 700".

    How likely is that? It simply will not happen.
