    Hello guys
I have a great idea that I cannot disclose here because of pure fear that somone with more money will take the idea lol. But anyway I need some investors or something. I need $2000 as of now to get the site built and up and running.
I just have no clue right now how I am going to pull this off.
    Thanks
    Mike
P.S. suggestions that get me somewhere will recieve good feedback!

IMHO if your think is a really good idea. Get a loan and develop your idea by yourself only. That way all the income generated will be for you.

dopiitv just wait until collecting all the money you need and do it by yourself.

    But i have another question...

I have a great idea but i dont have the knowledge to complete it myself. How can i find some real professionals that will not steal my idea and work for me? How do i choose them? I think its a risk...

I had the same problem, but then I found someone to do it...
What i did was I posted on scriptlance a related idea that required all the same skills and kowledge etc. Then I had them do a little project for me. After that and I had a small realsionship with them, I showed them my idea, and they have kept it secret. I dont know if I just got luck or if thats normal but so far its worked for me. I know its nerve racking posting it anywhere becasue if someone with money comes in and makes it first, then your idea is pretty much gone.
    Good luck with your idea,
    Mike

Split the work. And give each piece to a different person. That way nobody will have the full information but you.

As above have said, if you believe strongley in your idea, take a loan out. And if it is successful, you are sure to make it back to pay it off.

DEFO try and do the idea yourself, to be honest you cant afford to trust nobody in this world. im not saying this will happen buit even when you do have the money, whats to say that the designer you hire wont steal your idea and be developing the idea himself, whilst slowly progressing on your site.

I know you cant do EVERYTHING yourself, but try to hire reputable companies, and not bedroom-designers or 15 year old kids to do the work for you.

Deep down i also have a few nice ideas which i would like to try out some day when i have some resources and time. The best way to implement your ideas into a real thing is to start your own research. Incase of a website the best way is to design it feature by feature as like functions. So even if you need someones help, you only share the function with him, not the entire idea ;)

    hope this helps

    Build self confidence :)

We all have ideas my friend. If you believe its a winner then bootstrap the idea. Use your own personal money from working part time or something.

Everyones been in that situation before. Try working on smaller projects first. If you're good at promoting a site, you shouldn't have a problem raising the money. Even if you don't make much money with your small projects the experience you gain from it will help you in the long run way more than any money will.

Find a designer with a good reputation and tell them not to copy. If they do, then you can destroy any business they do on the internet :D

$2000 is not a lot of money. Apply for a credit card and use it to invest in your idea.

Well, it depends on the idea dosent it? Seeing as this guy sees this as an idea to invest in, I don't think that it's an ordinary site, maybe it requires coding or something.

Plus maybe it includes the advertising costs.
