I was particularly struck with this comment:

"Even worse, certain studies find that multitasking boosts the level
of stress-related hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline and wears
down our systems through biochemical friction, prematurely aging us.
In the short term, the confusion, fatigue, and chaos merely hamper our
ability to focus and analyze, but in the long term, they may cause it
    to atrophy."

Just what is multitasking? Literally, I take it as getting involved in many jobs, hence assuming
more than one responsibilities at the same time. If I understood it right, I can see nothing wrong
with it. What is important, though, is taking care that one's capacity to assume is not overdosed.
While some people may be blessed with greater than normal mental and physical abilities, yet it
must be understood that the human brain and everyone's physical "elasticity" can be maximized
only up to a certain point; beyond that, damage and destruction is due to be attained. Stress,
overfatigue, exhaustion, mental drain and lapses could be symptoms of disorder, and enough
caution and prevention should be at hand in any eventuality.

In another vein, getting involved in another task, after having done with the regular job, is
just like going on with what is regular and dropping out some other form of activity like
shopping, malling, leisure & pleasure sprees, just to be able to assume the other task which
in the long run could come out to be more worthwhile and compensating. At any rate, let us
bear in mind that there is always a limit in everything that we are able to do, and not paying
attention to it could redound to one's disadvantage.

Maybe I should slow down sometimes. There are times that multitasking is really necessary. If the studies were correct, more people should be forewarned about multitasking's setbacks.

this is obvious...trying everyday to exceed, to overcome is very stressful even if we aren't too aware of it...but in the long term is really exhausting for the body and soul :(
