Gray Barred?

    Hi,

I just built a new site this two weeks ago and it's my first time trying to do any SEO on it. I did a PR check just to see if it's in Google's index and got the following message:

    "The Page Rank: Gray Bar

IMPORTANT: It is not possible to determine the page rank for this web site / web page. Either the web site is banned, or the page rank is not set for this web site / web page yet. "

Does this mean the site's still not in the Big G's index or did I do something to have them gray barred me?

    Thanks for any advice :)

In first place, Google is updating, gray bars a part of the effects you can observe when they do. For better information your URL is needed. If you don't want to post it here you may send a private message.

Pages which are having Gray Bar is still showing in G's cache so it doesn't mean that its not cache.

Having your site indexed by google does not guaranty a PR. PR is one of the two main factor used by google to determine the importance of a site. Basically, the more the links pointing to your site, the higher the PR of your site. It's not an absolute statement though. There are lots of factors under PR.
