    Anyone else watched this recently?

I want the 30 min I spent scrolling through it back! This is absolutely the lamest, stupidest and most boring movie ever with a $100M budget.

No story to follow, no plot, no real characters to root for. The entire movie is just two characters floating in space and one of them is extremely annoying.

How does a movie like that make $600M and get such high ratings?

They did a good job in sucking us into watching it with their trailer. I do agree with you, the movie is quite boring. In summary, you literally only see 3 people in the whole movie, but majority of it focuses in on the girl (one guy dies early and the other gets lost half way through the movie).

The movie is quite disappointing given the budget they spent to make it. I was hoping for more action, but unfortunately I guess you get the experience of what space is all about: nothing. Can't believe I spent an extra $6 bucks for AVX and 3D.

I liked the movie more than I expected to. Even if you look past the awesome special effects and my bias towards the movie (I love space), the story was rather cool. The struggle of the main character is a perfect depiction of the classic "man VS nature" plot-line, but set in space. That's something that hasn't been done too often before.
I see how the movie could be boring, and at times I did have to think about how slow things are moving along, but at other times I was on the edge of my seat with excitement. This is one of those "hate it or love" it movies, and I loved it.
