I installed the Gravatar Plugin on my WP blog and now my recent comments block is messed up. The gravatars that are now there are mis-aligned. The link is in my siggy. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.
If you are running the latest version of word press, it has gravatar support already, so you don't need a plug in. It's possible that is the problem.
Yes I'm running the latest version of Wordpress. How do I display the Gravatars without the plugin? Thanks.
It is automatic. If the people leaving comments have a Gravatar account , they will show. If you are logged it to your blog, with the same email as your Gravatar account, it will show. You don't have to do anything.
Hey there, I deactivated the plug-in. The Gravatars are showing up next to the comments in my dashboard, but they're not showing up in the comments section on the blog. How do I resolve this problem? Thanks.
Go to the "Comments" section of your Dashboard->Settings and make sure that you have the Gravatar options set properly.
Everything looks good there. I have "show avatars" checked. They show up in the comments in the dashboard, but not in the comments area after the posts.
That is a weird one. It could be that your theme does not support gravatar functions. If that is the case, you would still see them from the admin panel, because that is Word Press...but if the theme is not coded to display gravatars, then they cannot show up. I think that can be fixed by adding some code, but unfortunately I can't help with that, maybe someone else will chime in. Here a link to Word Press.org that talks about adding Gravatars and Avatars to theme functions. http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Gravatars
