I wouldn't recommend anybody starting out reads this, the content is years out of date (over 10 years which is along time in digital media) and mostly now irrelevant .

Rachel81 a lot of what is contained in those tutorials is way out of date , irrelevant, *particularly* for beginners who won't know any better. 10 years is a lifetime in digital media. Some of the software mentioned doesn't even exist any more. When there is a whole web full of up to date and RELEVANT content out there, how is it a good idea to teach people stuff that won't lead anywhere or teach relevant skills actually useful in 2008 and beyond?

I'd suggest you check out a site like good-tutorials rather than something with 10 year old information. That's pretty bizzare.
