I am planning to buy my graphic tablet to go for my photoshop and thinking to go for intuos medium, or intuos large. any suggestions?
Exactly. Have worked with serveral tablets now, most of them were good, but not as good as Wacom tablets.
The wacom table is great. If I had to point out one issue I've had with the product would be its accuracy though.
I have seen my friend working on a Wacom Tablet. Its really impressive to see him work. He draws on the tablet as if on a canvas or paper. I guess it is the choice of the artists.
Unless you are a professional illustrator - you don't need a large one. You won't be using a third of it (only the middle part). Medium.
The size is really just depending on what you feel most comfortable with.... and of course what you can afford. I have a basic Bamboo tablet, small, and even though it's increased my productivity up by 100% (it really has, after you use it a mouse feels clunky), I would like to have a bigger size to work with. Ideally I'd love to use a Cintiq, although I don't have an extra $1k lying around. Basically - the more expensive/bigger in size in the line of Wacom tablets, the better precision you get. Dimus is right though, you don't need a large one one unless you're work in specifically in graphic design or are a full-fledged artist. Otherwise stick a a small - medium.
Yes, I agree it depends on your comfort. I have a wacom bamboo small. I feel less comfortable with the size of small and medium size may be convenient for me. If the size is too big I think it also takes a large place as well, and for me does not feel comfortable with it. ^ ^
My recommendation is a wacom, I have one and its excellent. Works in photoshop, illustrator, gimp, and inkscape. The pressure sensitivity is very nice to have.
