I'm looking for graphic software that I can use to load gif or jpg images to my website. I would like to find something that is freeware, I cant afford Dreamweaver and it's too complicated for me as well. I have tried Zoner Draw 5, It could do the job but It has problems. So is there such a program that will fill my needs?
If you are uploading images, use a FTP client... try FileZilla (it's FREE) If you are editing images, try www.photofiltre.com (gues what... it's FREE too)
I downloaded the Gimp program and I cant see how to export jpg or gif files. What I'm trying to do is create designs nothing too complicated, some have a photo as part of the design. I just want to upload the file so I don't lose too much of the quality, in corel draw9 I find that I'm losing too much of the image quality.
Sometimes I use Corel Draw 9 as well... Under 'Tools>Options', select 'Global' and then 'Color Management' - uncheck 'Calibrate colors for display'. That helped improve my image quality when exporting. I haven't used Gimp in a while. Try 'File>Save As' to export as jpg or gif.
I might be out of limb here, but I use Adobe Photoshop. Yes, it's a huge software, takes time to load, but it boils down to how much you're familiar with the tools and buttons, etc. Main point is to pick up one good software, familiarize with all the important tools and buttons, then stick with it. Naturally your website will grow in size and number of pages, so one needs to improve on productivity.
