Hello to all, First of all I'll introduce my self, I'm 18 years old, don't be put off, I've completed a course in web media at college, studying college for a further 2 years in September in Art and Design and then specializing in graphic design, then probably to university. Well, this isn't a post needing someone for a specific job, I'm looking for designers from all ranges to be available for me. What it is, is that I'm planning on opening a graphic design company, but this is different, This company acts as your middle man, I'll do the marketing, the advertising and getting the clients, depending on the clients needs I'll then hook them up with one of the designers working under this company. Obviously as this is a business, and I'm looking to make money as well as gain experience in the industry I'll take a small cut, depending on the job, usually between 10-20%. You're probably thinking, well I could just get the whole shabang - 100%, well yes you can. But you wont have a name to work under, you may not have work guaranteed. You will, have somebody constantly marketing and advertising getting you work, you will if need be have others to work along side, I will be selling this company as a professional service, so the earnings will be far greater than you're probably used too, making the 10-20% cut not so noticeable! I am looking for TALENTED designers, and I can't empathize this enough, I'm not after qualifications, degrees, but talent, and obviously they need to be as high standards of those who are qualified to have a fighting chance against the other design company's. Must be LOYAL and RELIABLE. Have work to show in what they are good at, wether it be logos, business cards or adverts, or maybe a range of both, these places are very flexible! If you're good at something, you will be wanted! I'm looking for maybe 2-3 people at the moment who are available to work quite a lot, and then maybe 4-5 who are not able to commit so much to the work load, but will be available for the odd job. This post may recieve a lot of cristism, but please, leave it out.
