I had someone asking me to design various templates for their website, and I made some. He paid me for the first one, however, he hasn't paid me for the other ones. I tried messaging him, however, I have not received a response from him. How do you think I should handle this?

    Thank you very much.

Well, if there's no stable agreement you guys both signed, how can this be valid enough for you to chase him down and demand anything? There's a lot of ways a scam can be possible here w/out legitimate paper work, or the like.

Treat your business like a business. Send him an invoice by email and snail mail. Put at the bottom that if payment is not received within a certain number of days you will begin charging him interest in the amount of whatever percent (don't get greedy, 5-10% is usually sufficient) compounded daily. Keep copies and send one every 15 - 30 days showing the interest added to his balance (you can find online calculators to help with the interest part).

If, after a while, he's not paying, then take him to small claims court. In many places, they cost about $20-$50 to file a case and, if you win, you get your costs back. No lawyer necessary. When you win, you can attach his bank account until he pays you what you're owed.

If you have other questions, let me know.
