Hi, im going college to do the First Diploma for one year, then onto the national Diploma for another 2 years. This will then get me into Uni. Max 6 years in education, AGAIN! As you can tell i dont like it, but i think i would love UNI.

Any way, i think college is going to be a drag, so i was just wondering if i do the first year, while working any where i can even for free for the hole year.
Do you think UNI will let me in with good experience and a good portfolio, and just with the first diploma and without the national?

If this is a 50%-50% Decision by the UNI and is not a certain yes/no, is it still worth me working for free somewhere in this industry?

    Please leave me your comments!

    Thanks Chuck!

some UNI's do bend the entry requirements on the basis of an extremely good portfolio but this is generally few and far between, you would want to be seriously good to be able to skip ahead, getting experiance is never a bad thing so do go ahead with it, but there is alot of basics to cover and in my opinion one year will not be enough to gain these skills. not if your serious about design anyway
