Gradedstakes.com is a horse racing blog. I currently get anywhere from 75-115 unique visitors a day. Currently the PageRank stands at 3. I have 4 paid links on the homepage. The theme is custom and cost me around $80. Any idea how much my site is worth? Thanks, and let me know if you need any more information!
Percentage of the traffic from search engines? Do you run ads (pay) for traffic? Income from the site?
I don't know what percentage is from search engines, but I think its less than half. Its mostly referral traffic as far as I know. I don't pay for traffic. My total income from the site comes from selling links, I haven't really tried running ads. I've sold one to Bodog for $400/6 months, and another to BetUS.com for $520 for a year. I've also got two other 1 year links that I sold for $100 each. I want to sell it, due to a loss of interest.
do you update the site regularly and how long does it take and do you have to know about horse racing to operate it?
If you can increase the traffic and make the site as a whole more appealing you might be able to make a few thousand. Again it depends on the market you are targeting. I saw horses and so maybe you should have some horse training products on there. Before you sell, try and make money by adsense, etc.
Coldtek: I do update it regularly. I try to post atleast 4-5 times a week. Basic knowledge of horse racing would be required but it could easily be learned. Bobby: I'm really a noob at this SEO type stuff. Are there any quick ways I could increase traffic? Also how could I make it more appealing?
