This is a trick I learned from when I was working for an offline business. Here's how you do it: 1. Go to http://www.google.com/local 2. Click "Put your business on Google Maps" and follow the steps 3. Wait for a few days or a few weeks for you business to get listed. The result - eg. If I wanted to search for Pizza in Melbourne Click: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=Pizza+Melbourne&btnG=Search&meta= There, your business will show up in the results. (if your business is located in some unknown town, be sure to use the town closest to you with higher search volumes)
Hey Li Weng thanks for this nice tip buddy , i think now i can help few of my friends and list their business on local areas .
That's great. I never knew about this before and I think you've done a very noble thing to share with us here. Enjoy the greens
Its very nice for the one who is doing localized business like restorent , shop, etc. I know before it but adding now only thanks alot
Yes this is a Business must, I can personally attest for this in my mortgage business I have achieved #1 results through local business Google.
They send a note to your address with a pin that is required to confirm your business. So entering in a different town could be risky as you may not receive the pin, unless you get it sent a friend.
It's quite helpful, but unfortunately it not supported in my country / town yet.. However, thanks for sharing dude
Yeah, doesn't work everywhere. Argentina is a good example, although some have found a trick to get listings in countries that google maps doesn't understand yet.
Yes this works, but others in your area will also have done this, and then it goes to rating provided by users on MAPS, so be sure to give quality. Like for eg. try browsing to New York or San Fransisco in Google Maps, and see restaurants that are listed, you will find them listed in lots.
