Yes it does. I had a friend, who jailbroke his iphone, it fell down and apple refused to repair it under warranty cos he had jailbrken it. And it is WARRANTY NOT WARRENTY
Who in their right mind would get a warranty with Apple? You get a warranty with your service provider or a third party. Apple warranties suck. I had an Apple iPod, I had screwed it up when putting iPodLinux on it. Went to Dixons, where I had bought it and asked for a replacement (have a 5 year warranty), the dude didn't know how to switch it on (then clicked a button and was trying to switch it off as it came with the corrupt sign)... Gave me a iPhone Photo 60gb when I had the older iPod 40gb since that was the latest one out... My battery died once on the iPod, got a replacement and it was an iPod Video... Basically I had paid £400 for the iPod 40gb (3rd gen) and £100 for 5 year warranty, ended up going through 4 iPods by the end and now I have iPod Video 60gb (5.5th gen). I will do the same with my iPhone, if I have a problem. The key is not to have a warranty with the people who know everything about the phone.
That is why I didn't uy an iPod and went and bought a Transcend T.sonic... Besides, in India we don't have such 'other' warranty options.
The G1 is another attempt for google to please its share holders and another failed attempt to have a monopoly in a different field. The G1 as I see it will have the same fate as gmail, just an alternative to X product. This thread should be about the iphone vs the blackberry. I say this because the blackberry is the only phone currently that can go against the iphone and live to tell about it. The only thing that is holding apple back is steve jobs because he locked the phone in with at&t,. Bad move, bad move.
They're both good. It depends on your flexibility, and if your always bored, iPhone is right for you. If your a proper businessman, gPhone is for you.
iPhone is much better than gPhone! As crunk_monk's said - gPhone is just google's variant of the iPhone. Loll, they are trying to make almost everything. I'm expecting gPC, gNotebook, and why not "ggg." instead of the boring "www." haha
Man, how many times do we have to tell you, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE GPHONE. IT is simply an OS.
Actually, I'm sure you could get 3rd party insurance with a bank for your possessions. I have heard they have Home Contents Insurance which also covers your belongings even when you take them with you. So say your iPod breaks, and you by accident you loose it... Its covered...
Photoshopping. If you really think there is a bloody gPhone, then get me the official homepage of it. And a wikipedia article. Yes, I understand, but in India, we don't have such options.
For the last time, I repeat: There is no such thing as the Google Phone or gPhone. It is the Google Android OS [Operating System], that's it.
