You do not even need to read the article to realize it's not real. $700 billion divided by $250,000 is equal to 28 million. Census.gov says the US population is 300 million. What about the other 272 million people? The article is clearly nonsense.
Yeah it would be more on the lines of 2300 dollars per person not 250 thousand.. but this is the first i heard about any possible check to begin with..
Knowing governments, I would say that if they really give you $2300 with their right hand, they will ensure that they correct $23 000 from you with their left hand
Yeah that isn't going to happen, the senate passed the bailout plan tonight, so it is back tot eh house again. At least they were smart enough to include tax breaks for companies that make children's wooden arrows this time. WTH???
I received an email FWD the other day about this "plan". I'm under the impression that it's only a joke. It'd be nice if I really could receive a check for a few hundred grand, though.
