Title states it all -- not sure what insight you all can bring. I'd love to try it out, but it's a bit pricey for my budget. If it's not worth it, what are the best alternatives
I don't try them but it seem like their pricing is a bit high. My company is using GatherPlace service for web conferencing.
I just started using it. I don't like the fact that attendees must download, but from an admin perspective it is really easy to use very stable, and most people are familiar with it.
I don't use gotomeeting, but have used gotowebinar, which is like a scaled up version of the former I believe. It was really user-friendly and we ran a very nice webinar. It went smoothly and our customers seemed to like and appreciate the interface. However, if you are not making enough to cover it, then I agree it is ia bit pricey. What do you want to run webinars for? Are you selling them or giving them away free? If so you might look at setting up a Ustream.tv account and doing it that way. There is a setting where you can make a ustream private and require viewers to enter a password to see your stream.
Wow, everyone's input is awesome, very useful However, I do have another Q. I'd like to get into: Which teleconference program offers the best quality for AUDIO. Again, thanks for everyone's help & input.
I have used GoToMeeting and it has worked well. I thought they had a free trial where you can test it out for yourself. If so you may want to check that out. As for audio in GoToMeeting, we always used the phone to talk and the computer to present. We would call the other party, put it on speaker phone, and then have them login to our web conference where we could demo onscreen. This also helps to be sure everyone is connected properly and can see the screen.
Well, I have been very pleased with DimDims audio. You could also use tokbox to and run a conference through your website : tokbox.com
