I got the following email sent to me. Your site is not properly caching ads. Make sure you are using the latest (unedited) version of the ad_network.php file. Your site will need to be blocked from the ad server if it's not fixed soon. I wrote the Java/JSP port of the ad network, and I made sure that it saves ads so that they are preserved when the server is rebooted, which I was told was the only criteria. Could someone (Shawn please let me know what causes this message to be sent? FYI, during development I did blow away my ad cache several times for debugging purposes, which would have caused it to request new ads again. Could this be the problem? Please let me know.
The only thing that causes it, is just that (ads not be cached on your end). In the last 12 hours, you have made over 3,900 requests for a new ad.
D'oh! It's amazing what a little thing like "<=" instead of "<" can do to some code . Anyway, it seems to be fixed now. Hopefully there won't be anymore issues with this port.
