    hey there,

lately i purchased two .info domains...(my first .info domains to record)

    StopCancer

    SummerEvents

    (.info)

At some point I was thinking of getting rid of them then again...I'd be nice if you guys had some development suggestions....specially for SummerEvents...any script or site structuring ideas?

    All feedback appreciated!

You might try checking with your local businesses or groups and make a site listing special things they have going for the summer. Or if you are a music fan, I'm certain the indie music groups would love to have a place where they could showcase their summer concert schedules.

Just curious to see if you ever found an idea you liked for developing your domains.

what you suggested makes perfect sense. the thing is...i am working on so many projects right now that i am unsure if it'd be wise for me to "hold" any of the domains. dont get me wrong, i love each and every domain that i own...and its sometimes not easy to sell them or let em worked on by someone else :)...

i put both of them on sale here...and i am kinda "glad" that nobody placed bid :)

i dont know...ok...the thing is i am not doing anything with em now. dont have any development plans either. i am now on an ecommerce project and planning on developing a really cool (eh?) .mu domain. it'd be a music related site. a cool hack!

i have traded a few domains lately and it's time to get things going. my directory is taking a lot of my time too. so it's time + lack of concrete development plans.

I can understand that completely. I just put one of my sites up for sale on here tonight because I don't have time for it with all my other projects and it took me a few days of thought before I was willing to admit someone else could probably give it the attention I couldn't.

You know what...the worst I've lately seen is when a fellow directory owner from a neighboring state left business and sold his directory (a good site). the new owner "bastardized" the site so bad that i have stopped visiting. From the design to font to text...everything is out of sync. I wonder how the ex-owner feels about it when he visits the site now. I never sold any site yet...but it'd break my heart to see any of my sites being messed with like that.

Yeah this will be my first site of my own that I will actually sell. I build websites for people so I have sold a few but I understood that my work might be changed at any point. Sometimes, the changes are great and other times, you get cases like the one you mentioned, where you just wonder what the hell were they thinking?

If the site I put up for bids tonight sells and makes the new owner a fortune, I will probably kick myself later but I'm renovating a house, working from home and trying to raise 3 kids so I have to eliminate some of the extras that are adding to the stress level.
