Maybe instead of letting discounts be the determining factor in where you spend your money at you should look at quality instead. The cheapest featured links on the worst directories are worth far less then a full priced featured link in a good directory. In the end you get what you pay for.

I have a lot of places I'm going to pay, the top tier directories but if I can get a discounted featured listing in a quality directory that's not on my radar I will do that.
