Just to recall that I have applied again with some more efforts and revised application data. Forgot to mention, that I choose same old category as earlier
No clue as to why it was removed, as it used to be in there (according to the wayback machine). I can't read it's content though, so I'm not sure what has changed. The wayback of the site: http://web.archive.org/web/20080213063304/sms4smile.com/category/poetry-sms/
Thanks for the prompt reply. Can you give me any clue as how to get it relisted? Whom should I contact to discover the reason? and most important is how to get it listed again?
Well, with luck it was just a simple matter of your site being down for a few minutes and it got flagged by an editor or a bot and was put back in the queue. If that is the case, then someone is bound to relist it eventually, though as for what YOU can do, I've no clue, such things are not in the guidelines and editor replies seem to never match between this and that editor. Was the listing actually helping you? Simply promote your site through other means and just leave this issue alone. *shrug* You'll be better off spending your time worrying about this doing something else at any rate...
Thanks for the great response, I am so glad to have it I don't think if DMOZ listing was that much helping, but it's always sound great to be listed with DMOZ,hehehe and for sure, I am not missing other ways / factors to promote my site but still dmoz is something sounds good. did you read the PM?
It's an English language category so therein lies the clue. Websites without significant English language content aren't listed in English language categories (as any fule kno, jimnoble aged 67 3/4 ). <For those who don't get the any fule kno joke, Google the phrase> << and I seem to be mixing my literary characters, but never mind >>
after a year, I would like to update this thread by saying that I still have no luck even though part of my website is quite useful for my visitors and worth to be added into dmoz directory as it allows my visitors to send free sms to anyone in pakistan and that part is completely in english which can be checked @ http://sms4smile.com/send-free-sms/ but still I have no success in getting my site listed in any of the suitable category/section of dmoz
Come back and report in 10 years. It can take that long and more for a review for a p;possible listing. I hope that does not mean that you have submitted the site more than once because that can mean that you have overstamped the date stamp on the suggestion or at worst that you have been banned as a spammer.
