A couple of years ago I faced the same problem, except that my email address was the only one used for a massive spam campaign. I was getting over 90,000 bounced email messages per day! This is the other cost of spam.

It is a simple fact that spammers never use their own email addresses. Often they use made up email addresses, which means that once in a while they will hit on a real one. Sometimes they use real email addresses and sometimes they creaft their messages to look like bounces in the expectation that you are more likely to read a bounce in an effort to find out what the problem is.

There is only one solution . . . antispam filtering . . . and yoga to relieve the stress.

There was this program that you can enter anybodys email and in SENDER it says what ever email you entered. Thats how they send out those paypal emails. They put paypals email in there and send it to many people. Hope that explains that.

That's called spoofing and it happens to many people, especially if they've been online for a while or have a domain name that's been registered for a long time. They are hoping that people with long-standing domain names/websites will be more trustworthy, so they have a better chance of a recipient reading it.

It's unfortunate and there's nothing you can really do about it, since anyone can use any email address to send an email. :(

the 2 bolded lines above will help you, and the links and what to do to have this spammer shut down.
mistake #1 he made was sending spoofed email spam from his own isp. that is this line
    q0o3whk03br.Reba@virgilio.it
that line has a message id and the isp it came from.
    mistake #2 is this line:
    Received: from pswm4.cp.tin.it (192.168.70.40) by vsmtp8.tin.it
this line gives the SMTP server that sent the mail and you'll see that it is hosted on a subdomain of www.alice.it i.e. http://tin.alice.it/ www.virgilio.it is redirected to www.alice.it.

192.168.70.40 <<< this IP# is reserved for internal networking, home networks and the ISP own internal network.
you need to send the full headers and email to the following with an abuse report.
www.alice.it is owned by telecom italia
    emial this guy;
    e-mail:
    domain: alice.it

My yahoo account got hyjacked once when I went on vacation.

shouldn't have posted online that I was going to be offline for a week in the mountains.

They took over my account and password but were nice enough to return it back.

Had a warning from yahoo that I could lose my account if I spammed again.

Well what ever they sent wasn't to bad or I'm sure Yahoo would have shut my account down.

Here are a few humorus spam things.

What did the spamar say to the priest?

Forgive me father for I have spammed.

Priest responds, "what did you spam?"

Spamar responds, "What is your E-mail"

    "What is spam?
According to a popular legend, the use of spam to refer to unwanted content originated from a Monty Python skit. A couple entered a restaurant, where every item on the menu included spam... even the menu item for spam! As a result, spam is generally considered to be anything undesirable. Some examples of what we consider spam are found below." found on
