Got some problems with html

  1. #1
    First off...

    im going through bluehost. im finally into the "edit code" and the box is literally half an inch with hundreds of lines of code within that and i need to scroll through all of it. its really hard to work with this. any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Then...

    ill i need to do is change the colors, header, logos, etc just to personalize it. i would like help on that.

    i would really appreciate the help.

    highlight it all and cut and paste into wordpad. You can then search for lines etc etc in wordpad, edit and re cut and paste back into your original box.

    You can probably do a CTRL+F and search for the specific pieces you want to edit.

    ive been going through the code and i cant seem to find the codes to change the colors or background or header title etc.

    are there key words i am supposed to look for? im not finding any colors in it.

    Maybe try "bg", "background", "header", "h1"
    try searching some colours or hex values maybe to find where the colors are...

    Why aren't you using an FTP program to upload and download the files instead of trying to work on them live on the server?

    If you need an FTP program, FileZilla comes highly recommended and is easy to learn how to use.

    try getting "programmer's notepad 2"

    i use that for editing, filezilla for transfering =)
