Got shocked today

they may got lot of ppl sended payment via personal that why this happned

so sad

 

I was waiting for my paypal to be verified for premium account, I have to check if I can go back to personal as I have directly applied for premium, my friend who resides in USA, was able to do it few years ago, he was on personal, he jumped to premium then again degraded it back to personal, not sure if its available though

 

I think personal payment sending option has been made country specific by paypal.

Nice update , so now we don't have to request the sender to send as gift lol to avoid fees , i hope paypal sticks to this system.

I also think the same. Maybe only western countries still have the option.
For rest all it disappeared regardless of account type.

 

but services/others = owned payment

i am send money using "services/other" and paypal charge only $0.02

 

@ kunet could you pls explain where you have this option? also are you charged $0.02 for any tranfer .. intercountry also? and for any amount?

 

Well this is really bad from PayPal side..even I can not see anything in my both the accounts.

PayPal gonna eat lots of money now.

Yes, but only if you have a personal account

 

Oddly enough, in Canada, the personal options (gift, payment owed, etc) is still available.

 

I'm from Thailand and personal option still available also. So I guess this change is country-specific?

 

It could be. PayPal tends to do "slow rolls" with changes like that. Time will tell.
