Without any other information than what you posted, no member will be able to help you on anything. Perhaps you may want to give us some background information so that our members can advise you properly?

What did you get scammed out of? You need to give some details if you want any help.

I guess with your replies and the total lack of details, no one can help you. You may want to seek out a lawyer and maybe he can dig out the details to help you.

Go to YellowPages.com, click on "Find a Person" and choose "Address" as the search method.

For Address, type in "1533 S Laramie". For City or Zip, type in "60804". There is ONE result for that address you posted, but NOT in the name you provided. I am not going to provide the result here because it is not fair to that person to have their information posted in a forum if they had nothing to do with this transaction. But if you go to YellowPages.com, you'll see what I just found.

Could turn out to be nothing though.

First of all I'm sorry about your situation. Amo isn't cheap and I know plenty of people that complete transactions like this online hoping to get a deal and help someone out.

Contact the owners of the site and let them know about the situation and also do what you can to warn other members. In the meantime the only thing I can suggest is to continue trying to reach the person. Maybe a few demand letters or contacting their local law enforcement? Many places take Internet fraud seriously and will help you out.

Also go to sites like ripoffreport.com and the consumer complaint board. No one likes seeing their personal info online and even if this doesn't help you get your money back right away at least you'll help warn others.

sorry to hear about that. Obviously this guy has scammed a bunch of people, everyone needs to report this to the USPS and this guys local PD. good thing is, with the USPS you should be able to file the complaint at your local Post Office. The guy on that forum was right, he made it a federal crime and the govment dont take kindly to them sorts of things. You can always talk to a lawyer that offers free consults, that way you can find out if he can do anything for you. Focus on the civil side of it to get your money back, plus you may be able to get a little extra if the lawyer is any good. And usually you'll get the legal fees as well.

I wish there are online police so that they can help everyone who are victims of fraud or scams. Before engaging into any business you can check them out through Scam Search if they are scammers or not.
