No one likes to be ripped off...it's happened to me before, but not online. I bought a template, so I thought! Th people running the site provided a zipped file with the template, only the file was corrupted and would not open. I wrote the people and they provided another file and it to was corrupted...would not open on a Vista computer and I tried it with Xp and on a Mac...the file aint opening. So several days later and about 5 emails seeking recourse... I have not heard from them. Can anyone suggest away to reach these con men/women? I used a PayPal account to purchase the bad file. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Just go to paypal and open a dispute against them but there is little chance that you'll get your money back since it is a digital product. I lost my money in a similar way when I bought a script which was never delivered. i raised a dispute and after a month it was closed by paypal saying that it was a digital product and they cannot do much in it.
what fundu told is right... i have heard paypal offers something called chargebacks....you can look for that... its something related to money dispute.... please any DP member help him about this..
You can go to PayPal and raise a dispute there, and if it comes to a claim furnish PayPal with screenshots and other evidence that the product was not received. I was scammed too the other day (also a digital product) but I contacted PayPal directly and gave them all the screenshots of the deal and how it went bad. Long story short, I won the case
Sounds like the good business answer to poor business to me. Be as thorough and documented as possible.
Thanks for all the responses! I think the screen shots sound like a winner deal. I'll give it a shot. Thanks to all for good tips.
