No one likes to be ripped off...it's happened to me before, but
    not online.

    I bought a template, so I thought!

Th people running the site provided a zipped file
with the template, only the file was corrupted
    and would not open.

I wrote the people and they provided another file
and it to was corrupted...would not open on a Vista computer
and I tried it with Xp and on a Mac...the file aint opening.

So several days later and about 5 emails seeking recourse...
I have not heard from them.

Can anyone suggest away to reach these con men/women?

I used a PayPal account to purchase the bad file.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just go to paypal and open a dispute against them but there is little chance that you'll get your money back since it is a digital product. I lost my money in a similar way when I bought a script which was never delivered. i raised a dispute and after a month it was closed by paypal saying that it was a digital product and they cannot do much in it.

You can go to PayPal and raise a dispute there, and if it comes to a claim furnish PayPal with screenshots and other evidence that the product was not received. I was scammed too the other day (also a digital product) but I contacted PayPal directly and gave them all the screenshots of the deal and how it went bad. Long story short, I won the case :)

Sounds like the good business answer to poor business to me. Be as thorough and documented as possible.

    Thanks for all the responses!

I think the screen shots sound like a winner deal.

    I'll give it a shot.

Thanks to all for good tips.
