Did you guys ever get rejected by CJ's programs? Usually they will just send an auto response citing reasons like: -- incomplete site -- illegal contents blah blah blah Sometimes I found my sites do not fall into any of the categories but still get rejected. Should I just reapply in a while or try to contact them via email to clarify? I actually tried to send some emails but never got a response.
Yeah, some advertisers would deny your site directly without reviewing you site, try to contact the advertiser then.
Make sure you don't have an incentive program listed, as that can get you rejected. Also, having email marketing selected as a promotional method can too. Other than that, if you get rejected, just contact the program and appeal.
I find them some advertisers also automatically reject you if you are not based in the US... are you located outside the US? If that's the most probably reason I would suggest just moving on... find another advertiser who will accept you and work with them. Do not waste valuable time trying to get with people who do not want to work with you in the first place.
I am not in the US either and was rejected by ebay.com automatically. I assume cause I'm not from the US. I emailed their affiliate support and they approved me in a breeze without questions and hesitating. So you might be lucky with some advertisers.
same problem here ... i think it really depends on the category you picked for the site you plan on promoting the companies on.
it also happened to us. we had an old cj account but because we moved to a different country, we had to create a new one so we had to re-apply to our old affiliates. it's the same websites, just a different company name and address, but still we got rejected by some of them. fortunately, when we contact them about it, they already approved our application.
The declined email is a standard email sent by CJ, and the people who do approvals for each programs don't actually write in their reasons. Some won't accept low-EPC publishers, some won't accept incentive sites, others won't accept search-only or crappy looking websites. If you really want, reply to your declined mail in CJ and see if the account manager can give you some info as to why you were rejected, or if they'll review your site again.
my welcome email was automatic after i submitted the online application form. i didnt list email marketing and i'm from the uk.
apply for all the advertisers that fit your website and concentrate on those that approve you. the reasons for rejecting are too many and sometimes it is too consuming trying to figure out each case.
Some programs approve all applicants automatically, but most make the decision manually. It can be due to the quality of your site, or low EPC's. If your EPC's are low, the advertiser may be reluctant to bring you on board because they may fear (rightfully or not) that you might bring down their average. If you don't have a lot of history though CJ and you find you are getting declined most of the time, try starting out with just a small number of advertisers that coincide the most with your site's content. Email them individually, give them your site URL, and ask them if they think you could be a fit. Most of the time, if you seem serious and the advertiser feels your site is appropriate, they will push you program terms. Once you've built up history and good EPC's, getting accepted will become easier. There's no magic bullet, it just takes time and effort.
I got a CJ account by showing my geocities page ... Its around a year old account having $10 in account... Is it possible to change the ownership of that account ? Im thinking about giving that account to someone else who know how to make money from cj... I tried but failed... Thanks..
