I recommend AdBrite too, because I like their ads and everthing, but they pay extremely low and from my experience its a waste of time running their ads on your site since they pay so low.

For 4,000 page views (cpm) with AdBrite, you would earn about 10 cents, which totally sucks.

But you can join some ppc (pay per click) and cpm (cost per thousand impressions) and networks to earn some more money from your website.

With cpm you just earn money for displaying ads on your site, you don't have to click on ads to make money, just display them on your site.

    For example:

4 ads on your site x 10 cents cpm = 40 cents per cpm

    40 cents per cpm x 4 (4,000 / 1,000 cpm) = $1.60

So with 4,000 impressions and 4 ads on your site, you could easily make $1.60 just for displaying ads.

Adbrite is a good Adsense alternative in my opinion. They offer plenty of possibilities for your website monetization. Also, you have a full control of what is being advertised on your website (you need to manually approve or reject individual ads).

Selling links won't be forever, so you need a real ad network too.

I have had good success with AdBrite, but if I were you I would approach Google what you could do to get approved. I have also used Yahoo with some success.

You must have a good click through rate with them, because if your click through rate is low your cpm will be low. But they have a good service with good features.

If you want to make money iwht PPC try - Bidvertiser, YPN or Adbrite
