Got mY vps and im a nooby :"(

Hey all,
I got my vps yesterday and I am a super noob :'(

There is no cpanel nothing
No php no mysql

How will i upload my wordpress site backup now :'(
I cant afford cpanel :'(

Please help :'(

I know a bit how to use ssh ONLY A bit please explain to me wat commands to use etc

try to install on your server an opensource web host management system, maybe http://wht.sourceforge.net/ . If you want i can try to help you with this.

Your best bet it to use a free panel, Kloxo, or Webmin paired with Virtualmin.

don't get offended, but I'm just curious what makes people go for unmanaged vps with no server management expertize?

 

Probably the space and the "root access" even though they do not know how to utilize it.

@OP You can try to use one of the free control panels like WebMin or Kloxo. I would recommend Kloxo seeing as you do not have much server management experize.

 

I would try installing a free panel (Webmin is the standard option, it's very robust). It will install a webserver, FTP, mail, etc. for you.

 

Kloxo is the nearest thing to cPanel in terms of user interface.
