got my google analytic invitation yesterday night i am too happy no stats still avaible but they must show up in next 24 hours
Just got mind yesterday...Its amazing they give this away free.. I suppose they're just giving back.. aint they nice! I must RTFM and see how to use it properly! Any tips out there?
I've been using Google Analytics for a while, in fact, we had it when it was owned by Urchin. First thing is to grab the tracking code and place it on the appropriate pages you want to track, especially if you have a site where your visitors are registering or if you're ecommerce driven, making a sale. Once you get some data in there, it's fairly easy to use, you can compare day over day, week over week, month over month and so on...really is a great tool for seeing how your traffic is growing, where they abandon (and on what pages) etc. It can get addictive if you're not careful!!!! ;-)
I have recieved a invitation after almost 3 months of registerign i believe , but now i have it .. i am yet to use it i understand it slows down your site a little .
I didnt have to wait. I got it towards the end of last year the day it was launched I believe. They then got overloaded if I remember correctly and it struggled for a while then all worked well after that. I havent noticed any slow down on the site which is good.
mine also was requested about 1 or 2 month ago.for stats it still not showing anything here. waiting.....
I requested an analytics account in March and received an invite within a few days. (I already had an adsense account and am wondering if that helped speed up the process?) Anyway, I just use it for my blog (www.premiumposts.com) and since I am not really trying to sell anything I don't use most of the features of the analytics program. It still has some pretty useful info though (even for someone like me). The most useful section for me is the "search engine marketing" section were you can see exactly what phrases people typed in the search engines to get to your site. This is very handy because it allows you to EASILY find keywords and phrases that people used to find your site. You can then optimize those keywords to drive more traffic... (Sometimes they will be random keywords that you never would have even thought of). Another cool feature is in the "Marketing Optimization" section. Check out the "Visitor Segment Performance" were you can see exactly what town all your visitors are coming from within a specified timeframe. (Similar to Geovisitors but more detailed and customizable).... Just take some time to explore it. It's pretty amazing how much info it gives you and its great to be able see all the data in easy to read graphs and charts.
I think they are sending more codes out now. I waited for a few months and in the last 2 days got 3 separate codes
