I got my first sale to day and earned around 38$.Heres what i have done: Spent 12$ on adwords. have got a ctr of 0.24 i dont have a landing page i have my site which i have cloaked to match the merchants landing page without showing my affiliate link in the address bar. Where am i going wrong. how should i increase my ctr. In the last 7 days i have got sales only yesterday. Where am i going wrong?
Congrats on the first sale! I am not yet there in hitting my goals, so I cannot really critique your technique. But let me ask this: How many products are you promoting right now? And are you just using just PPC?
You should increase your CTR, otherwise your CPC will raise soon. Look at your ad and keywords. Delete the keywords, which are not relevant and put the converting keywords into separate adgroups and write killer ad for them.
Well, it's pretty simple. By saying "killed ad" I mean that you mention the keyword in the ad as many times as possible. The best would be 4 times. Put the keyword in the title, in the first and second description lines and it it fits include it in the display url. For example if keyword is "digitalpoint", then display url can look like this: www.example.com/digitalpoint Make sure that your ad description makes sense. Try to make a sentence using the keyword. I hope this helps.
I wouldn't have expected too much at this point seeing that you have only spent $12 on Adwords. Secondly, if that is all you have spent, your ad is probably not appearing in the top results. So, the impressions may be there, but someone else is getting the clicks.
I have the content network on. Also i am only a student so my adwords budget is very limited to 50$/month i am thinking of scaling it up to 100$/month. Can you guys tell me how to concentrate my ads during peak hours only.
Split test 2 ads. Every week, delete the loser (based on ROI if you have your tracking set up right) and write another one. Repeat.
Your content network impressions don't impact your campaign. Just look at your search network CTR. Content network is usually considerable lower CTR than for search.
It's your game but I'd get that content network off. You should consider placement targeting if you're on a budget...you'll be paying $0.05 per click if you get things right.
You can leave content network on but never run it higher than .02 or .03 a click, lots of people click ads simply to support sites imo.
actually content network for one of my campaigns has a higher conversion rate then search.. + half the price for clicks
I have also got my first sale today too.. I spent about $4 on PPC and my click through rate is only 0.67%. Same as manisht case, i just started for a few days and i have my content network off. I am wondering if creating websites for clickbank products would be better or simply direct them to the merchant's landing pages? I am totally new to Clickbank. I am hoping to earn at least 1k per month from Clickbank as a starting goal.
congrats buddy.your ctr is better than me. by the way i am thinking of reducing ppc and increasing organic traffic.i think it will do some good in the long way.what say?
I agree with one of the earlier posters that site targetting might really help you. So instead of choosing keyword targeted when setting up your ad, choose site/placement targeted. Before you create your ad you will need to search online for hot sites that relate to your keyword and these sites should be running Adsense on their pages, and the Adsense needs to be laid out on the page so that people have a high chance of seeing and clicking on the ads. (Above the fold is the best.) Capitalize on the organic traffic those popular sites are already getting. Also, if the site is a forum, sometimes forums are a great place to get your ad noticed. Make sure that the people in the forum would be interested in your product, make sure that the keywords are related, and - voila! You should be making sales and spending less money. Good luck!
thanx for the great advice you have been reputated. any more advices are always welcome and will be reputed if good and of quality. thanx everyone.
