How many people would search your site by the domain name? I hope you might be knowing that You should optimize it for specific keywords to get targeted visitors.

This is why keyword research is so critical. If you target the wrong keywords you are wasting your time.

This is what many people fail to understand. If you optimize your site for keywords that nobody is searching, you will not get visitors. That is why keyword research is very critical.

waxman1000, I totally agree with 100%. If you rank number 1 for a keyword that nobody searches, its just like saying free hookers in the bar but you have to pay a million dollars to get in. (lol man thats funny)

Try reworking on your meta description, this should attract visitors to click through your website from SERP, provided keyword is competitive enough.

    What's the keyword? :D

But yeah - like the others have said - rubbish keyword gets rubbish traffic.

Also what SE are you looking at?

Maybe the #1 keyword is something that no-one looks at?
