Got any fishing tips?

    I recently moved to an area that has a TON of fishing areas. My son and I can go as often as we like and catch as much as we want.

    Over the weekend we bought fishing gear. HE LOVES IT. (He is FOUR.)

    I cannot catch anything to save my life!

    There are bass, catfish and some others but I have tried numerous baits and haven't hauled out ONE SINGLE fish.

    Does anyone have any tips?

    When you're just starting out its hard to beat the ol' standby bobber and worm for a number of warmwater species. Take the bobber off and throw out the worm with some weight above it for the catfish and you should be in business. Hope this helps.

    HA^^^^!!!!

    I tried the dynamite. The FBI showed up and arrested my four year old. I shouldn't have blamed him.

    No, I tried dumping the bobber and do the catfish. Nothin'.

    I tried three different types of bait to no avail for the bass.

    I have been trying, but I guess I just suck!

    I often go fishing, but I fish for carp in the UK

    I use bait, and some days I can get over 20 fish in around 3 hours, I have got pretty good at it, unfortunately I dont know about catfish, but I think if you fish off the bottom with some meat (spam or something) you should get something
