It was after the first day of promoting my website I get this email. Kinda scared, my website is a high earner. I'm using an iframe on my website from somebody else that provides free streaming links to other websites. What do I do?!?

    That's simple:

    1. do as they say, or

    2. don't

#1 makes you nothing upfront but costs you nothing in the end either...

#2 might make you something upfront but will likely cost you enormously in the end...

If you chance to do #2... I would contact a solicitor first thing.

They have contacted you directly that email looks legit.

Ask yourself if you have the exclusive rights to stream Premier league games, its simple you dont!

So what you think they wont sue you. LOL

The thing is, I am just using an iframe from http://p2p4u.net - nothing else. I am NOT streaming any content, just providing an iframe from p2p4u.net thats it. I contacted p2p4u and they told me I should be fine as I did nothing wrong. Wouldnt they close down p2p4u.net first? So many people use them...

It doesn't matter if you host it or not. You are displaying copyrighted content, surrounding it with ads, and generating revenue. p2p4u may be getting away with it because they are located in Sweden which has different copyright laws.

It doesn't matter what you think or what they think or what anyone thinks... it only matters what is proven in a court of law.

If you're prepared legally you can spare no expense on legal defense and maybe the courts might rule in your favor... I just wouldn't bet that way though.
