My site was accepted as google news source. what are the advantages? Any good in terms of traffic, visitors or revenue. Anybody experienced this?
Exciting news, everyone I hear from that gets accepted gets some crazy sporadic traffic and increased revenues. Just keep that news a flowing.
If people search for your news related keywords, that is I have my news on Google some time ago but did not receive any good results..
It really depends on what your news is about. I've had four sites get listed onto Google News. Three of them just didn't get anything noteworthy. Occasionally we'd see days were a few thousand people would be referred, but for the most part it wasn't major. The last one was a very big success. Our site had alot of controversial news and was updated hourly with industry news. That site was getting around 20,000 referrals from Google daily. Our biggest day we saw 100,000 referrals from Google News.
The best thing for you to do is to try it, I guess you can't loose much from it and it will only help your PR submitters to get more exposure to their PR Releases.
That is a very good news for your web site! Imagine you web site is listed in Google front page to be seen by the whole world -even for 1 hour. As for now, try to publish quality news or you might even fish for unpublished press releases and think-tanks surveys/publications . i was hoping to get listed , but I heard that I need many news publishers to get accepted Cheers
