Today my directory got a submission from DMOZ with nice description and title! Of course it is not paid. Here is the url: dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Lancashire/Lancaster/
It's not from dmoz - and what's wrong with someone promoting a category there anyway? You might want to check if there were any errors during the payment processing. I doubt the non-payment was intentional.
Yep, once I was suprised getting link from microsoft.com Thought it was Bill - but seems I was wrong or he had not enough funds to pay
email is not from DMOZ and the point is the submitter didn't pay. I will try to contact the submitter to see if I can get a reply.
Not a bad idea as I didn't have any problems with the submission. Not every submission received without payment is an attempt to spam a directory. Errors do occur. You'd be surprised at how many actually complete the payment process if you send them a link to the payment page. By immediately assuming that non-payment = spam and deleting the submission you could be losing out.
Great...... so do what they do to us.... Keep them waiting for a few years the send the ...Sorry Denied Notice heheheh lol just kidding thx malcolm
I hadn't thought about it like this before and will use this approach, ive possibly lost out on some payments through deleting before advising.
It's probably someone with a link in that category, looking to improve the PR value of their DMOZ listing. I'd be surprised if it doesn't turn out to be spam, but you never know... By the way, Cbgred is loading quite slowly for me.
dargre rofl nice one I dont got ever any submission for dmoz link or microsoft like darge, but I think if soemone get it, then thats just spam.
I get spam submissions like www.google.com with title saying Good Site is spamming directories a hobby for some people.
I got same submission too and already approved since I received payment for that. http://www.szab.net/detail/link-3559.html
