This person requested to advertise a banner on one of my forums. I'm not too sure which program to use to this kind of advertisement..

What's the best and easiest for this kind of advertisement? I'm considering using "phpAdsNew" for the click/impression stats but then what?

I'm very new in this field so teach me Boss...

what would you do??? how would you charge?

If it was me, I'd charge using Paypal. PhpAdsNew should work fine. I've never personally used it, but I have heard it's decent. Your price all depends on how many impressions he gets and how much traffic your site gets.

One site that I know of, for a banner in the top right hand corner of the website charges $350 for 100,000 impressions.

    I used paypal's subscription service.

I don't even use any kind of software. I use static banners and links.

    Works great for me

with 2000+ visitors per month, so it's fairy small. How much would you charge per 1000 impressions? It will display in forums.

I wouldn't suggest per impression, you just have to keep up with silly stuff. All of the big forums I know of charge a set rate by the month and most of those are for banners just in rotation. Give them your stats and your price and let them decide if they want it.

    PHPAdsNew is great btw.

paypal subscription is nice because sometimes they'll forget about it and advertise longer than they normally would have. Personally I charge by the time period and not actual impressions just to keep it simplistic

I just had to quote this post again to make sure no one missed it. Just curious, how many people have this in their business plan?
