Got a question about google?

    Ok today i woke up and looked in google for one of my websites and was jumping for joy becuase i was number one, then went over to my moms to show her and i was #6, then went back to my house and i was #1, then went to my friends to see on his computer he typed it in and i was #7 and then he opened another browser and searched it again and i wasnt on the first page, and finally i went to his second computer and i was #1 and then searched it again and I was not on the first page, what is going on here I'm so confused?:(

    First, make sure you are not signed in to Google when searching. If you are signed into Gmail Google gives you personalized results.

    Also, try clearing your cache and cookies then search again.

    Also I wanted to know I just changed my description for in the search engine, and now it showed up but on some of my keywords, it is showing my keywords as the description in the search engine and some keywords it shows my new discription, Y is the happing?

    Google has its own rules for showing description. You may have a description tag but whether it shows or not is on the descretion of google. It may also happen that google may show some random paragraph of your content which contains the searched query.

    Also rather than manually checking for search engine ranking positions, u can just use rank checker plugin for firefox, or even digitalpoint rank checking section, both are much better than manual checking ...

    Its because different data areas, and also if your are login to the google they showing you the personalized results so they tends to vary
