This should be a no brainer, but i'm starting to wonder? I have a script that works on my hosting, but not on another server. It has to be the path that's wrong. I use the path /home/cpanel username here/public_html/ and it works fine at my hosting! Now on the other hand, someone who has a server and uses this script, what would the path look like, or need to be? I am using /var/www/vhosts/domainname/httpdocs/ is this correct? or something should change? Thanks in advance for the replies!

you'll need to ask the hosting company for the path and make sure they allow your type of script to run in that folder. Servers are set up in different ways so the root user needs to tell you what the exact path is.

You also need to ask them if that script can run at all. I know some server do not allow some scripts. Hostgator is one of many servers that do not alow alot of scripts for example
