article-optimization.net got it for $5 runs out in 36 days ill renew it, its 330 odd days old no links or stigma was just parked (they say) how can i check this out?

Im thinking making the site into site where people can buy/sell unique articles from my site with a like 90/10 split so im only making 10% per sale but i think thats fair considering.

Or make it into an article directory, article optimization blog or website... what do you thinks best?

Blog sound good, but pretty much depends on your knowledge and skill.
If you're good with writing, a "writing tips" and "SEO writing" blog would do the job.
If your skill is not that good, you should go for the article directory, otherwise your SEO competitors will crush you.
Of course, there is still the option of buying articles for you blog, but I personally don't agree with that. Well, at least not on a daily basis.

Personally, I don't give a damn if it has a dash or two, 4 or 16 letters.
As long as you take it for development, the value is the one you bring through the new website.
An I've seen far worst domain names than this one with hundreds of thousands of UV per day.
