Got a mail from PayPal, looks like a spam mail

I got a email from PayPal today stating that I need to confirm my account. Otherwise, my account would be suspended. It gave me line stating that "Click here" to update your account information. But, the link is not clickable. I suspect, this could be a spam email. If anyone got similar email, kindly share their experience here.

 

obviously a spam . it will never ask for updating account by clicking ... I got the same for Liberty Reserve .. Bloody Hoax !

 

I also got one from Adwords.
But gmail is smart enough to track them and put them in the category of SPAM.
Also it was written that it might not be from the real sender or something like that.

yes i also got mail like that, they are bloody spammer, dont go through that link.

 

It's 100% sure when it;s mentin click here to give a link you will find your self just point mouse carser on hte link and see left hand side down just upper of start menu you will find the phising website link don't cliick and do not worry

yes, report it to paypal. And if you wish to check any detail, check out the paypal account directly paypal.com then you will knw there

 

We all need to beware from this kind of spam or cheater e-mails.

 

Paypal uses Sender Policy Framework to protect users.

If you are using good spam filter with SPF check function, you will never get fishing emails.

 

I recently got this spam mail in my spam box:
Subject : Urgent Notice: Paypal Limited
Email :

Dear PayPal customer,

During our regularly scheduled account maintenance and
verification procedure we have detected a slight error in your
billing information.

This might be due to the following reasons:

1. A recent change in your personal information (ie. change of address, email address)
2. An inability to accurately verify your selected option of payment due to an internal error within our systems.

Please verify your information. To do this we have attached a
form to this email. Please download the form and follow the
instructions on your screen.
NOTE: The form needs to be opened in a modern browser which has
javascript enabled (ex: Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3, Safari 3,

Looks fishy. just ignore it in my opinion.

You can call them or email them or visit PayPal office

 

try contact support by email or phone..
