Hi Guys I am working for one of my clients who has a painting/remodeling/ stucco/siding construction company. Its a construction company (small scale) and I am trying to help them to get business. I have already done SEO and got the website to the page 1 of yahoo, bing, google for local keywords like - painting houston, sheetrock houston etc etc Also got him into google maps etc But we dont see any traffic coming. How should we market to get more business. Please suggest! ( keep in mind, Its a construction company scenario) Pls suggest ways of marketing out!
The reason you may not be getting traffic is because there may be no one searching these keywords he is ranked for. Did you do research on these keywords? Other than that, maybe the snippet of your website on google is bland and not compelling what-so-ever.
yeah I got the site to page one for about 5 keywords. And total searches for all 5 keywords are around 10-11k per month. Atleast I should get some traffic... But i dont even see traffic
what do you mean by ""snippet of your website on google is bland " What does it mean and how do u check it?
[painting houston], and [sheetrock houston] have a combined exact search volume of about 126 a month, 4ish a day. [houston painting] has 170. Keep increasing SERP position with the keywords you've got going now. Start looking for relevant long tail search phrases, and optimize for them too. Or maybe potential visitors don't like your meta description?
Have your client ask customers to post real reviews on the Google places listing. Also check into the coupons your client could put up at Google places. Is your client in Angie's List and is the website listed at Angie's list in the client company profile?
I think there is some confusion Painting houston has google searches -5,400 local/month Basically other similar keywords, I could say total searches/month are about 15k for all keywords combined
Not everything has to be done online. Do some local marketing too. e.g. is the new site featured (large) on their vehicles yet? Is there an area which is their major target market? If so, gradually doing letterbox drops can show some amazing results. Make the leaflet look really good, not the black type on coloured paper ones which head straight for the rubbish bin. Our area has local community newsletters too, which people tend to hold on to.
Look up the difference between broad, phrase, and exact match search numbers. Do you have Webmaster Tools installed?
Domination Brand Marketing Strategy, the mode of using melancholy prices and creation legitimate known to the cosmos holds superior emotional charge.
I probably worded it weird. Anyways, you know when you do a google search and it shows you a little preview of the website? That's what I was talking about.
We are doing some SEO work for a local painting contractor and have had good results with video marketing. Posting a video link in Google Places helps bump up your listing in the search results and because it's a great way of getting your sales message across and showing people examples of your work more of them click through to your website.
designventures, One method that's definitely going to help your client get more traffic is to give them a strong social media presence. You can do this by getting them connected across a variety of social media websites. This will help them reach out to potential customers in their niche, and it will start sending targeted traffic their way almost instantly. Start out by creating a LinkedIn profile for the company. Make sure they showcase their background and provide links to their website. Connect with other groups on LinkedIn that are similar to your clients interests and your networking will go through the roof. You can also save all the email addresses of everyone you connect with and start building a powerful email list. That reminds me... You really need to start creating an email newsletter for your company. No organization can succeed online without a massive email list. On the website, you should give away a free report or something that has to deal with your clients company and in return for the gift users can sign up for the newsletter. This allows your client to email them about products and information on a regular basis, and this will greatly improve your clients traffic, exposure, and income. Now you can get started on creating a Facebook Fan Page for your company so that you can target the millions of viewers on Facebook that may be interested in what your client is offering. So many people use FaceBook on a daily basis that it would be unwise to not take advantage of this massive amount of traffic. Twitter is definitely worth checking out. I get the majority of my traffic from Twitter and it's definitely helped me grow my brand and become recognizable. Make sure you have some sort of automated tool installed with it so that you can automatically follow large numbers of targeted Twitter users without having to do it manually. Add a custom background for your client for their Twitter background so that it will stand out from the rest and grow their brand. I'm sure you can also charge your client more to setup all these social media networks, and it's definitely going to help them out in the long run. I actually offer a free 30 day eCourse that shows designers how to get setup online, and it definitely shows you how to create a strong social media presence, build a powerful email list, and dramatically increase your traffic. If you'd like to check out any of the concepts in the course and link them back to your client, feel free to. Here's the link. ECOURSE ACCESS
You also need to check to see if anything in your GP listing is hurting you. For example, if you have the city in any of the keyword categories you are going to be getting slapped for it. Make sure that you have everything lined up correctly.
I would have to agree, the keywords are probably the issue. They aren't being searched for enough. I'm sorry to have to discuss this, but at times the smallest of things can make a difference, are you sure the tracking tool you are using for traffic is functioning properly? If its Google Analytics then maybe the code on the pages? Further, if you wish to get traffic non organically I would suggest spending a few bucks on FB or even Adwords, but both these options will require you to spend some money so it depends on whether you want to take that route. Cheers
Please don't take this the wrong way but...are those keywords that people are actually using? If I'm looking for painters in Houston, I'm more likely to search for: houston, tx painters Code (markup):
I have a silver bullet for you... seriously this will 100% bring your client traffic IMMEDIATELY and he will love you for it. The answer is: Paid search. Forget about everything else and use Adwords to bring him traffic.
