    Yea you are rite, you people are dumb may be you didnt had a dealing with paypal earlier. Usually when you make a payment above 300$ paypal confirms it through a call to the person who have made a payment. But they dont ask for your vcc no...

    @classiqa

    Remember, that PP does not call everyone whatever amount they would have dealt with unless of course their system suspects the reason for a fraud to occur. Typical points would be Ipadress from less known countries, or frequently limited members who try to make a one big trxn and so on. There are several people here and many other forums that I have dealt with who have transacted worth 1000s but have not got a call. So, its not always true whatever u said.

    What I mean is, when you do small transactions with PP and then suddenly you make a transaction which is higher than your earlier transactions PP do call only once to verify, cause I did got a call only once for the first time when I made a quiet countable amount.Then I did many others as well but I didnt got a call

    Best way to find out is call up PP and ask them if they had called and for what reason. Do let us know here the outcome, so that everyone can be alert, if we ever get a call from that number. Maybe we'll even hotlist it

    They just ringed me last week to confirm the card i added. it was a vcc so quite sure they wished to verify if i really added it. no need for any big amount to be transacted for em to call, its the suspicion factor only!!

    @Hearthrobz

    Did you get the vcc from some unknown person, then they would have suspected something.

    If not, then which bank VCC did you add, for you to get this PP call?

    Maybe this is a new account or maybe your ip address has been in the blacklist. So they must have called to verify.

    +8621 originates from Shanghai, China

    When attending a call, i would never discuss credit card details or bank account information, on phone even it is a bank. i always call to bank or paypal, to deal with the issues! Be safe lot more con artists at work :(
