If someone dropped 5,000 warmed up leads in online/internet marketing niche on your lap? What would you do? Im looking for methods to turn these leads into subscribers... Thanks
It depends on your starting point. How did you get these leads? The big idea that you have to remember is that, if you want to get them to subscribe to something, you need to offer them something that they cannot get from you for free. For instance, if you have a blog but want to start a paid newsletter, the newsletter has to contain different AND BETTER information than you would provide in an ordinary blog entry. They need an incentive to buy. But we'll be better able to help you if you give us your starting point. Feel free to PM if you don't want to share it with the whole world (something that many are concerned about)
Provide them with good content and a reason to return to become a subscriber. Give them something that will make them come back
To be honest, the only way someone will drop 5,000 leads in your lap is if they paid for them, or you paid for them. Which is probably what happened. Nobody "drops 5000 leads" in your lap unless they are your parents or know absolutely nothing about marketing. So my answer to your question is "run like hell". Chances are they will nail you for spam the first time you try to contact them. Please don't waste our time with something that stupid, even though that gave you your 17th post. You end up looking like a fool. Of course, this may be legite, in which case I end up the fool, but I really doubt it. Hope this helps.
What s the significance of a 17th post? The question of where they come from is unimportant. The pertinant part of the post is to get ideas about how to deal with leads, ONCE you have them. Im looking for ideas how to market and maximise the most out of leads, Im sure its been asked before, but new techniques appear daily, so i wanted to get some ideas... Should i be posting this elsewhere?
Actually, where they came from IS very important. The reason being that you want your leads to be tightly focused on what you are selling. When you buy leads, you have no idea where they came from. Lets say you are in the weight loss niche. You buy 5000 leads, chances are some of those aren't interested in weight loss. They just gave their email address because they got something free for it. So you email them with a weight loss offer, they accuse you of spam, or immediately unsubscibe from your list. You lose either way. There are many places that sell leads like that. Another problem is maybe they signed up on that list a month ago. You don't want that. You need fresh leads. That is why I think it is important. Hope this makes sense.
"You buy 5000 leads, chances are some of those aren't interested in weight loss" - Welcome to list building "They just gave their email address because they got something free for it" - Welcome to list building "So you email them with a weight loss offer, they accuse you of spam, or immediately unsubscibe from your list" - Welcome to list building There is NO list in the world where your above factors dont come in to play. But you have a point about the freshness of leads. - The leads are fresh. ANYWAY - The point IS, i have the leads, Of course they opted in to something within the same niche (internet marketing) or they would not be Leads... So are you gonna attempt to provide some value to this post (A MUST IN LIST BUILDING) - or busy yourself with predicting how sincere the questioner is ? My question is ONCE you have the leads, fresh, within the niches, how to make as many into subscribers....given todays circumstance and environment. So to reiterate. The leads are fresh, the leads are within Internet Marketing and the leads have only opted in ONCE to a product within Internet Marketing and the leads are exclusive to myself.
I think they worth nothing. As an Internet-Savvy person, I'll send to the SPAM box any unusual email from an unknown sender. simply, I'm already aware that he wants to profit from me. If I have a need, I'll just do my research and purchase it. But you can be a little evil. For example, create a blog and put interesting content on it and the things you want to sell. Then, send them an email that a friend has suggested for them an article. They won't recognize the name, but will they care? No, they may hit your website. Profit.
