Gossamer Threads: do I go for it?

About to buy Gossamer Threads. Any final words of wisdom?

Looked at Powerseek. My programmer did not like the code.
Looked at K-Links. I felt it was a little too complex on the user side and would require substantial tweaking.

Gossamer seems well coded, the front end seems classy and easy to use, the admin is as simple as you can get and the plugin philosophy works for me.

    So...? Do or don't?

    Thanks.

Although this may have been asked of you infinitesmal times - have you tried any of the "free" offerings first?

    Hi Art.
Yes I have. And even many of the paying ones. We installed inlink and can't get it to load consistently. Their sysadmins are on it but no luck so we're thinking of giving up. Looked at all the usual suspects including some done by friends. Frankly, we're looking for something that has the level of professionalism of vBulletin, for example. Clean interface, robust, intuitive and powerful admin,... the usual!
This said, if you have something exceptional in mind that I missed, by all means! I was about to click 'buy' but Gossamer is in Vancouver which is 9 hours behind me so I have time before they wake up.
