It shows how when grass roots citizens were exposed to the combination of a GOP state dominated legislature and big oil the people were revolted by the conspiracy Republicans and Democrats alike.

People were misled. The pipeline company bullied and threatened landowners. It was stubborn for several years. It wouldn't relocate the pipeline. Over time as people were exposed to the project they rejected and resented it.

Now Nebraskans, who generally vote Republican don't even trust their own representatives.
