Response to what? I thought all Muslims weren't bad. If that is true, what the hell is the problem here?

    Are you that blind?

No offense, seriously, but are you really ignorant? I never said it was a good idea (UAE running American ports). You do realize that these ports are already run by foreign interests right? Apparently not. Do you also realize that the UAE company that wants to run them now, BOUGHT the British company that was running it? It's not like Bush called the UAE and said, hey you guys wants ta runs da ports?

Look, I never said that it was a good idea. I know this deal is not going through, and so does Bush. That's the point. I made that pretty clear. If you cannot see through saracsm, I feel very sorry for you, because it is you my friend who are the tool here.

Now if Jimmy the moron Peanut Farmer would keep his mouth shut.

How much more do I need to explain this?

UAE spends a fortune buying a company whose only asset is the income it derives from maintaining serveral US ports. UAE company loses contracts, company is a complete wash. Do this directly, you look bad. Do it in such a way as to look as though you are in favor of helping...

I know Bush did not come up with this idea on his own. I am sure a slew of foreign policy experts and historians helped. But that is what happens when you surround yourself with smart people. Years from now they will be looking at this as one of the pivotal moments in the fight against terrorism.

What makes this even more convincing is both sides arguing about it, like there is any point. What I cannot figure out is why Jimmy Carter comes from out of left field supporting this. That is about the only thing that could screw this deal up.

Like I said, the thread is dead. This is a non-issue. It's like saying RvW is going to be reversed tomorrow... Your'e being played.

I don't really agree with that either, as I have said in a couple post now

I don't care about UAE companies, I care more about US sercurty, sounds like someone has a pre 911 outlook on things

Wasn't "terror money" traced back to the UAE government?

Well we've funded our two biggest enemies (bin Laden and Saddam), so why should this be any different.

Our port security is a joke anyway.

Ouch! Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. It amazes me how afraid people are of the truth. Hurts, doesn't it?

I know a lot of muslims frequent these threads, so I would like to ask...

Should we assume all muslims are bad?
