I could not find a specific thread for discussion of google adsense so I decided to place this post in this thread since I deemed it the most appropriate. I am currently running a website that generates about 2k/hits per day and I am using google adsense on my sites how ever though I only receive 2-5clicks/day. What am I doing wrong that's giving me such low click through on my google ads. The site is freewebspace4me.com kindly review the layout of my adwords and suggest to me any alterations that you would make with out having my site look bad. Thanks
That's not really bad at all considering your site only has 3 text ads showing on your homepage, and it is what it is a free hosting site where alot of people turn to when they can't afford shared hosting or don't want to spend money on it. I've never used adsense like that before and i'm no expert anyway but couldn't you try using more ads than that? It's a very clean site so i think you still have some space to sell out. Why don't you try doubling the ads and getting some more ad content that way? The more ad categories like hosting, mp3 hosting, india hosting etc you have the better chance you have at getting click throughs, at least persumably. More webmaster related ads might help. An ad bar in the footer might also help because when people are scrolling there looking at the banners you know they are interested in something off-site and chances are they may be ready to navigate off your site anyway.
