YouTube is really facing a crisis today. I think google is aware of these things. You would not spend an insane amount of money in investing in a company and just let it do what ever it wants, would you?
YouTube plays videos fine, they are still a start up company swamped by more demand than they have capacity and firepower, Google has the same problem. Give them time to get things working, it's not an easy technical problem to solve when there is as much demand as they have!
anthonycea - I would agree with you if the biggest problem was downtime and such. But now it seems to be features that Google has taken away! Why would they start removing porn/content filters, and why would they remove the ability to view popular videos? I've been using metacafe more lately, just because YouTube has been so frustrating ever since Google's first (of many) "upgrades".
I agree with that. Perhaps It just won't be available in Brazil because YouTube had a video of someone who caught one of their Brazilian artist doing something dirty in public.
You should be using other video sharing portals, YouTube and Google is not the only show in town, there are thousands of video sharing sites now, I was watching one from Korea the other day!
I thought I was the only one who thought youtube got a little more difficult to navigate. I don't go there too often, but today I was there and was wondering - hey, why can I only look at 3 pages of top videos? Seemed odd. I thought the fake "porn" videos were a staple there, didnt realize that was a new phenomenon
maybe google bought youtube just to kill it... google already has A LOT OF MONEY and they have google video.. maybe in an attempt to make their website #1 they bought out their main competition and will eventually make their money back from people going over to google video.
Google has already stated that YouTube will remain it's own brand, I highly doubt they will kill the leading brand and market share leader in the business!
True. But you can never know how much time it will really take. It took them more than 2½ years to sort the mess over at blogger/blogspot. I hope YouTube won't be as bad. Most of the problems you mention seem like lack of synchronization between the search index and the real stats. That's just a result of hard working servers.
The court case will never go through for one thing it is illegal to have sex in public so if she didnt want people to see it don't do it on a beach where thousands of children go, she should be arrested for exposure
