No its not. Well I used to have a site that was pr5 that sold links and had great SE traffic but then when everyone started talking about it, my site went to a pr0 and now isnt even listed in goog. So in my opinion yea its not accepted...
Google is not necessarily against buying links. They are against buying links whose sole purpose is to help your search engine rankings. They want the nofollow attribute added to any paid links. Basically they don't want you to be able to buy rankings. They would rather you spend the money on Google AdWords if you can't manage to get rankings.
my site was ranked well on SE but when i started a lot of threads about selling links on this forums, my position in Google Search dropped dramatically Beware
Wow, sucks to be you. You can sell links if you want, use rel=nofollow attribute to them, and make sure its clear tht you aren't selling the links for the sole purpose of them gaining rankings.
Google is against buying links, if you do and they find out you might get banned. It is considered black-hat seo. Google believes that if you have quality content other webmasters would want to place the link to your site without having you pay them.
It is not accepted by Google because they don't like it when webmaster are using the PR for selling some links. They feel cheated.
Thanks for all information. I am doing mistake by posting selling links for my site but now i will not do in future. thanks all.
In My Opinion that is called paid link. A paid link is a link from one web site to another for which a webmaster has paid. Paid links have nothing to do with the sponsored search results on Google, Overture and other pay per click (PPC) search engines. If a webmaster pays another web site to place a permanent text link to his site, this is considered a paid link.
